Garry, better known as Gus to most locals, has lived in Gawler his entire life. He grew up on the family dairy farm at Buchfelde on the outskirts of Gawler near the Gawler Harness Racing Club.
Garry and his wife Nicky purchased the building at 1 Bridge Street North, now the home to Barker Real Estate. The old character stone building has been extensively renovated but still has some of the original stonework from the old Gawler town plus a new extension. The building is a lot like our Barker Real Estate team with some old stages and some new young guns.
Garry worked in the Telecommunications Civil Construction Industry as a Project Manager for thirty-eight years across all states of Australia. He is thrilled to have opened a successful family Real Estate business and has enjoyed working back in the Gawler area fulltime after having spent many years working interstate.
Garry has had a large involvement in the local sporting community both as a player, coach, supporter and administrator. He likes the local rivalry that he believes is the fabric of the Gawler Community.
He enjoys watching a local football match between two of the Gawler Clubs, and catching up with old team mates, friends, and opponents as this is very much what the Gawler Community is all about.
